Welcome to Senior Citizens' Settlement Foundation!

Technology is incredible. It has dissolved global boundaries. Communication happens at key stroke. Everything is getting digitized and easy. Life on the planet has become prosperous, fast and frenzy. And the youth brigade is loving it!

But on the flip side, you will find a yawning gap. Concern, care and comfort for the old and fragile community have all taken a backseat. A feeling of redundancy and desperation has seeped into many elderly. More and more senior citizen disillusioned for having left to fend for themselves are seeking a home outside theirs to survive their sunset days in a decent manner.

SENIOR CITIZENS' SETTLEMENT FOUNDATION (SCSF) has been built on the premise of creating and providing “more than a home” environment wherein the people of the golden age can live together with dignity and in harmony.

The stark realities of modern world

The story goes that – Mrs. Satya, aged 75, was all alone at home, as usual. Her only daughter, married kept in touch with her as much as her busy schedule allowed. A widow, Mrs. Satya managed well most the time, except for occasional bouts of loneliness. It was only when one night she had a nasty fall in her bathroom that she realised what living alone meant. She could not even reach the phone much less call a neighbour for help. At such a time, she felt the absence of family and the helplessness of an aged person. Overcome by guilt, yet helpless about the situation, her daughter felt that had she employed a good caregiver for her mother, she would have been less worried…. But where was one to find such care.. and how could she find an ideal home for her mother?
